Avoid the Trouble of Bringing a Big Booster Seat on Vacation

Updated: Jul 9

Who wants to save themselves the hassle of lugging around a big, heavy car seat when they are travelling for vacation? Me (hand raised high)!

I have travelled in this country and the next with both a regular booster seat and an inflatable booster seat. Boy, is there a difference! I have used a couple different versions of the Bubblebum booster seat, all of which have saved my back in the process.

Here are some things I love about the Bubblebum booster seat:

  • It inflates very quickly (think seconds)

  • It is lightweight and compact when you deflate it

  • You can fit it in the pouch it comes with and carry that or put it directly in a backpack or suitcase when you don't need it

  • You can use it for travel but you could also use it everyday

  • Makes sure the seatbelt fits correctly on your child

  • You don't need to rent a seat while you are travelling

  • Most importantly, it claims to exceed all US federal car safety standards for booster car seats 40 lbs and up to 100 lbs

While booster seats usually run anywhere from $20 to $60 I think that the Bubblebum is worth the price if you like to travel a lot and you want to reduce the wear and tear on your primary car seat/booster seat.
